Meet Zero Freitas, a 63 years old Brazilian businessman. He is famous for his activity – for many years he’s been continuously and actively buying vinyl records. He got this passion when he was five. That time his father bought him a record player and 200 albums. In his interview to New York Times Magazine he told that overall number of albums in his collection is around 7 million.
Zero Freitas would like to build a special warehouse where vinyl records could live a long life. According to Mr. Freitas vinyl is the most sustainable guard – if the records are to be saved in vertical position in some place, protected from the sun, with ideal temperature kept, then the date of expiry will be almost indefinite. Therefore Z. Freitas’ collection goal is to save music for our descendants.
